Sharesome Review: An Adult Social Game Changer?
As the owner of an adult cam review site, I am always looking out for platforms that can help creators get more viewers and fans. About five years ago, Sharesome came onto the scene. They say they are an adult social media site where models and fans can come together. Think of this adult space as a way to post content, interact, and build an audience.
Recently, I have seen a lot more talk about Sharesome, and that got me thinking; I hadn’t looked at this site in a while, so maybe it was time to dive back in and see how it has changed.
Here, I will look at the Sharesome website, explain how it works, and even give you some other sites you might want to consider, too, if you are into this type of social networking.

What Sharesome Actually Is
Sharesome is an adult social media platform. I don’t just mean adult, as in no minors, but adult as in a lot of sex, porn, etc. When you sign up, you can expect elements of Reddit, Tumblr, Facebook, and X (Twitter), but all based specifically on adult content.
There are topics, feeds, profiles, and yes, you can interact with models (“Stars”) and others on the site. This is more entertainment than anything. You can’t sell here, but it’s often used for advertising other sites or platforms, i.e. OnlyFans, CamSoda, etc. Basically, the people here want users to join them somewhere else…a site where they can make money.
Here’s how it works:
- You can create a free account with the option of remaining anonymous
- You can customize your profile to choose which types of content you want in your feed
- “Stars” post photos, videos, GIFs, and links
- Content is organized by topics and communities…like niches or interests. This will help you find what you like.
- Many creators here use Sharesome to link out to their paid platforms like OnlyFans or cam sites like CamSoda
So basically Sharesome isn’t really the best place for watching cams or interacting with “Stars.” It’s more of a social hub that models use to promote their content and brand as well as build up an audience. In other words, they use a site like this to attract fans to another page. You do have the ability to watch videos and things here, but just be aware they are more like ads to get you to go somewhere else to see more.
First Impressions — Interface and Usability
Now that you know what Sharesome is, I want to share some of my first impressions about how to navigate it, use it, and sign up for it.
When you first take a look, I’m betting you will be familiar with the layout. It has a news-feed style that allows you to use a scrolling timeline and see posts that are based on your interests. There is a sidebar showing trending topics and models as well as a search function where you can find exactly what you are looking for.
It’s easy to sign up. There is no verification process. You don’t even need to provide an email address, actually, if you want to hide your identity and stay anonymous. Since there is nothing to verify, you can just open the page and start looking around.
Remember, this isn’t a real cam site. There are no live shows, private shows, or real tipping. It’s a place where you can find models you like, and then get those fun shows and images, or whatever, somewhere else. There is some commenting and sure you can chat via comments, but don’t get saying what you would via SweetSext on here!
However, just a few days ago, the site announced premium posts where users can use “flame tokens” to get more access to premium content. Perhaps the site is trying to keep people there instead of losing them to another site?

Safety, Legitimacy, and Trust
Because there are so many adult sites out there that are sketchy, I always like to look at how safe and legitimate these sites are. I’ve already mentioned that Sharesome users mostly use it for promoting posts to lure visitors to other sites, which is fine, but are they legitimate? It appears that they are based on the research and resources I’ve looked at. But, there are some mixed signals to keep in mind about:
- Most sites show that Sharesome is a valid and legitimate site. It gets decent traffic, and it’s been around for several years.
- Some sites state that Sharesome is “risky,” but keep in mind that those sites don’t matter much because they rate all adult sites as “risky.” I think they need to reexamine their definition of risky, to be honest.
- One review I read said that there were reports of “scams” here. Again, you kind of see this with any site with adult content. People will potentially send you unsolicited messages, for instance, or comments that may be a little spammy. My advice…don’t respond, or just write back and say you aren’t interested.
I don’t think Sharesome is a scam. You have full control of your experience there, I didn’t see any huge risks or language that made me think that anything was risky here, either. That being said, if you do think that someone is trying to steal your personal data or trying to share files, etc, submit a complaint to the company. Otherwise, just use common sense and put some type of security on your browser.
Pros and Cons of Sharesome — My Take
Here’s a breakdown of what I personally think after using and exploring Sharesome:
Pros
- Free access and easy sign-up, with optional anonymity.
- Community and topic-based system helps niche interests find each other.
- Flexible posting — photos, videos, links, and GIFs.
- Good for promotion — direct linking to external paid content.
- No hard paywall — good for building audience without cost.
Cons
- Not a direct monetization platform — no payouts for content on Sharesome.
- Traffic quality can be low — not all users convert to paid site subscribers.
- Paid features like Flame Credits can be confusing or limited.
- Moderation and user experience issues sometimes reported by users.
- Safety reputation tools vary — treat it like any NSFW social site.
Final Verdict — Is Sharesome Worth It?
In this day and age, Sharesome can be used for growth for performers and for users, it can help you discover your next favorite performer.
At the end of the day, the structure is set up like most social media sites, and there are some benefits here for both performers looking for more freedom and leads and for users who want more visuals and options.
I would definitely say that using Sharesome on its own isn’t the best plan for users or for performers. Instead, for performers, I think it’s best to market here and other sites. Don’t focus only on one site. It’s best to build your popularity on more than one site, and then you have followers everywhere. Then, you can encourage them to come to the site that pays you the most.
For users, I think Sharesome is a great spot to engage with performers, check out new fantasies, or explore a category of adult content that you may have never considered. Just keep in mind that, in my opinion, there are better alternatives like CamSoda.
