While I typically report on traditional cam sites and my experience using them, sometimes I come across scams that I just need to call out. This time, it was none other than GlassCams.com. I hate to call a site out because I know it’s not good for them, but I’ll be damned if I’m going to just sit back and watch you waste your hard earned money. Find out everything you need to know about GlassCams and the scam behind it.

My Review of GlassCams.com

GlassCams.com is way more of a scam than you’re going to want to deal with. You’re definitely going to be getting scammed, but not in the way these places usually do it. This place uses a different kind of tactic that keeps them distant from the stuff that they’re making happen.

Essentially, if you ever find yourself in a situation where someone is trying to convince you to sign up for a site, it’s best to simply walk away. You’re never going to meet the person and you’re just going to be wasting your time.

A Craigslist Webcam Scam?

The scam works in a similar manner in which a few others do as well. People will post in forums across the Internet, looking for dates. It could be Craigslist or Tinder and anything. Once you try to contact this person, you’re going to get a response. It’s not going to be the kind of message you want, though.

This person is going to tell you that you have to make a profile and sign up for GlassCams. After you do that, you’re never going to hear from the person again. You’ve already been scammed and they’re onto the next person.

What They Get

So what does this person gain from scamming you? Well, it turns out that the site offers money to people who bring in other users. In fact, if you can get someone to sign up for six months, you get every single cent of the membership money. It’s quite the lucrative scam if you post enough and are convincing enough.

There’s no question whether or not the site is involved in this stuff. They’re the ones offering the money and paying it out to the people who trick others into signing up. It’s not a legitimate business practice and this site should be avoided.

Data Gone Missing Too

On top of these things, GlassCams has been the victim of data breaches in the past. They’re part of the Friend Finder network and they happened to be the target of the largest data breach of 2016. It was the entire network and millions of people were affected.

Those are two pretty big strikes against the site.

They’re not things that are immediately obvious to anyone who might just find it and decide to give it a shot, though. If you’re lucky enough to be reading this before you decide to sign up, then you’re going to want to walk away.

Conclusion: GlassCams = Shady Business

There’s just too much shady stuff going on with this one. You don’t want to get yourself involved in it. From the offer of money to people who trick other people onto the site to the data breaches, it’s too much to deal with. There are much better options around for you and you won’t have to worry about anything. If you ever come across someone who wants you to sign up for a different site to talk to you, don’t bother. It’s not going to go anywhere and they’re just going to take advantage of you.

I typically link out to sites but I’m not doing so here with this one because I do not want to be held responsible for any mishaps that occur with consumers using this site.

If you want to try a site that works, then I encourage you to test out one of the best 10 cam sites selected by me. I’ve reviewed all of them and this is what you need to know.
